CURENT seeks to develop education programs that will provide multi-disciplinary, team-driven, and systems-oriented educational opportunities to undergraduate students. In support of these goals, the Center has set the following objectives for education program development:
- Design a multi-disciplinary curriculum focused on electrical energy transmission system analysis and problem-solving skills
- Develop connectivity with industry, partner institutions, and the larger power and energy system community
- Introduce undergraduate students to the possibility of pursuing careers in power and energy
CURENT Ambassador Program
The Center also offers 3-4 positions each semester for the CURENT Ambassador Program. This paid position allows students to help with educational outreach events, industry tours, and a large variety of other activities throughout the year. Students will gain leadership experience and be exposed to industry networking opportunities.
If you are an engineering student at UT-Knoxville and are interested in becoming a CURENT Ambassador, please email your resume to Adam Hardebeck at firstname.lastname@example.org.
More information on opportunities for undergraduate students will be posted in the near future.
