CURENT Faculty Attends Energy Conference in Africa

Nairobi, Kenya - CURENT Director Kevin Tomsovic recently attended the International Conference on Power System Operations and Planning (ICPSOP) in Kenya from January 16-19th.
Tomsovic (second from left) traveled to Africa for his seventh trip to the ICPSOP to present on the theme of “Sustainable Energy Development: A Case Study for U.S. and Africa,” and to speak about research being done at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville on behalf of CURENT and the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department. Dr. Joe Chow (far right), the campus director at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for CURENT, also attended with Tomsovic.
This year's conference was hosted by Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
