CURENT Hosted a Mini-Workshop on Power System Simulation
On August 14th, CURENT hosted a mini-workshop featuring two invited guest speakers: Dr. Qiuhua Huang from the Colorado School of Mines and Dr. Philip Top from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Dr. Huang presented “Representing Distribution Systems in Transmission System Transient Stability Studies,” while Dr. Top discussed “The Philosophy of Co-simulation.”
The event was co-hosted by Dr. Fran Li and Dr. Kai Sun and saw active participation from CURENT faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students. Dr. Fran Li also provided an overview of CURENT. Additionally, Dr. Jingxin Wang and Mr. Junjie Yin gave demonstrations of the CURENT Hardware Testbed (HTB) and Large-scale Testbed (LTB) before the workshop concluded.
Mr. Michael Rogers and Ms. Yvonne Kilpatrick provided logistic support for this event.
