Congratulations to CURENT student Ori Yuru on being recognized as NASPI’s (The North American SynchroPhasor Initiative) Outstanding Graduate Student of the Year for 2024. The award celebrates students who make substantial contributions to the use or advancement of synchronized measurement technology. According to Jim Follum, NASPI leadership team member, Ori was recognized for his invention of the Universal GridEdge Analyzer and groundbreaking work in situational awareness, real-time inertia estimation, and secure data transmission. Ori was nominated for this award by CURENT Deputy Director, Dr. Yilu Liu.
Ori will be recognized at the NASPI Work Group meeting April 15-16, 2025 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
