Lin Zhu, Ph.D., Senior Technical Leader for CURENT industry partner, Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), announced that a paper entitled “Mitigating Inter-Area Oscillations With an Adaptive Wide-Area Damping Controller: Field Demonstration and Operation Experience in Italy” was presented at the 5th International Conference on Smart Grid Synchronized Measurements and Analytics (SGSMA) in Santiago, Chile, June 1-4, 2026.
The paper received the first-place award for the non-student paper competition. All contributing authors are listed below:
