Robert B. Martin
Infrastructure Manager
Bob has over 30 years of engineering management experience in electrical systems design, development and test, having started his career working as a test engineer with Sperry Computer Systems and transitioning into management as a supervisor of mainframe computer production testing. Subsequently, he worked for 15 years with Northrop Grumman as a project engineer and engineering manager responsible for automatic test equipment, system design and development, for military applications. Bob earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1976.
He comes to the center from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia where he worked for nine years as the lab manager for the Center for Power Electronics Systems (CPES), a National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center.
