Industry Coordinator
Michael Rogers is the Industry Coordinator for CURENT. He received his undergraduate degree in education from the University of Georgia in 1992 and his MA in history from Georgia State University in 1994. From 1994 to 1997 Michael was a teaching associate in the Ph.D. program in history at the University of Tennessee. Michael left UT before completing his dissertation to work as a television producer. After more than two decades of producing history, science, and crime documentaries for cable channels such as Oxygen, A&E, and The History Channel, Michael became the assistant to CURENT Deputy Director, Dr. Yilu Liu, in the summer of 2021. Michael began his work as coordinator in the Fall semester of 2022. Michael is very excited to be at UT and looks forward to working with all of you.
