Title: Managing Power System Data At The Speed Of the Internet
Presenter: Mr. Theo Laughner, PowerGrid-RX, Inc.
Abstract: In 2017, nearly 1 million tinder swipes occurred in 1 minute. Our world, the power system included, is being immersed with sensors at an all time rate of speed. However, the utility data systems in place today are built on 30 to 40 year old technology. Consequently, new paradigms will be needed to practically handle this new influx of data.
This presentation will discuss data management as the development and execution of architectures, polices, practices, and procedures in order to manage the information lifecycle needs of an enterprise in an effective manner. Efficacy is measured as an enhanced consumer experience.
