Dr. Kevin Bai visited Lucid Motors on February 24 as part of the ongoing DOE motor drive inverter project effort. Bai discussed the progress and challenges of the present inverter and motor design with Lucid teams. In addition, Bai introduced the CURENT power electronics capability to Lucid, aiming at future closer collaborations with CURENT.

Bai also gave a presentation to Stanford University on February 26, with the host being Dr. Juan Rivas-Davila whose expertise are power electronics with resonant converters and magnetics. Dr. Bai extended the invitation for Dr. Rivas-Davila to visit CURENT and collaborate more on future power electronics research.
