Best Paper at International Journal of Electric Power and Energy

Dr. Fran Li and his former PhD student received the Best Paper award at International Journal of Electric Power and Energy

Dr. Fangxing (Fran) Li’s paper, titled “Network Reconfiguration and Distributed Energy Resource Scheduling for Improved Distribution System Resilience,” has recently received the “2020-2022 Period Best Paper Award” from the International Journal of Electric Power and Energy Systems, which had an Impact Factor of 5.0 in 2023. This prestigious award is highly competitive, with a selection ratio of approximately 1 in 500.

The paper was first-authored by Dr. Qingxin Shi, who completed his Ph.D. under Dr. Li’s supervision in 2019 and is currently an associate professor at North China Electric Power University. This work was the result of a collaborative project involving researchers from Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), including Mohammed Olama, Jin Dong, Yaosuo Xue, Michael R.
