On May 28, 2025, Jim LeBlanc, Technology Director for Electrification and Judy Guzzo, Business Development Manager/External Partnerships Manager for Electrification at GE Vernova Advanced Research (GEVAR) visited CURENT. CURENT power electronics faculty Fred Wang, Kevin Bai, Daniel Costinett, JiangBiao He, and Leon Tolbert presented their research activities to GEVAR visitors. CURENT Director Fran Li also participated and gave a center overview and LTB demo. HTB and FNET were also demoed with the help of Jingxin Wang and Saurav Dulal. Jim and Judy also toured CURENT labs and talked to a number of CURENT power electronics students and researchers. They were very impressed by our work and expressed interests in future collaborations.
Tom King, Director for Sustainable Electricity at ORNL, helped to facilitate the visit and accompanied the GEVAR visitors to CURENT.
