Dr. Kristen Booth, Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina, visited CURENT on Nov. 21 and presented a seminar titled, “Development of Digital Twins for Microgrid Applications.” The seminar covered the fundamentals of digital twins, how to develop and integrate digital twins with power electronics, and describe AI-based and human-in-the-loop decision making, including considerations of uncertainty quantifications. Following her presentation, she had discussions with CURENT faculty and students on digital twin applications.
