CURENT's Culture of Inclusion Seminar Series announces two presentations on Monday, Nov. 19th and Tuesday, Nov. 20th.  All CURENT members are expected to attend both of these seminars.


Monday, Nov. 19th

Presenters: Dr. Kevin Tomsovic, Dr. Chien-fei Chen and Dr. Daniel Costinett, University of Tennessee

Title: Internal Inclusion Awareness Training

Abstract: As part of the NSF requirement for improving cultural inclusion activities, Dr. Tomsovic and Dr. Chen will be giving an internal inclusion awareness training on November 19th (Monday) at 4 pm. Dr. Tomsovic, Dr. Costinett and Dr. Chen will present CURENT's inclusion goals, activities and plans. It should only take about 30-40 minutes. Title: Unconscious Bias Abstract: As part CURENT"s inclusion plan to introduce the importance of the inclusive environment for all CURENT members, CURENT is inviting the Bias Education and Response Team and 974 Help to discuss the topics of the definition of bias, types of bias incidents, how to report bias, and how to receive help when one has personal issues.
