The Summer REU & RET Programs start on Monday, June 1st. Both programs are part of CURENT's Education Outreach. CURENT will have ten teachers from ten local schools, six middle schools and four high schools, paticipating. CURENT will also have eight students arriving on Saturday, May 30th, from seven different universities that are partaking in the REU program. These schools are Swarthemore; Fort Valley State; University of Arkansas; University of Kentucky; University of Turabo, Puerto Rico; University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and University of Oklahoma. Additionally, we will have seven University of Tennessee at Knoxville students doing summer research.  The REU program is eight weeks long and the RET program is four weeks long. Funding comes from National Science Foundation for both programs.
