DOE Joint Kickoff Meeting for NGEM and WBG Traineeship Programs
March 31, 2016 – April 1, 2016
On March 31, 2016 – April 1, 2016, the DOE will hold a kickoff meeting in Knoxville, TN for the NGEM (Next Generation Electric Machines) and the Wide Bandgap (WBG) Power Electronics Traineeship programs. The EECS (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) department and CURENT Center at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, have been asked to assist DOE with the arrangements.
The event will be held at the Knoxville Hilton in Salon AB on Friday, April 1 and is by invitation only. The space is limited so please sign up using the link below as soon as possible (before March 5) to reserve your spot. There will be a $40.00 charge per person to cover lunch and refreshments. This can be prepaid on-line or at the door with cash or by check.

There will be a mixer in the Parkview Ballroom at the Four Points by Sheraton on Thursday, March 31. The mixer will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm and will include heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.

CURENT and the EECS department will have an open house of the power electronics and power systems laboratories in the Min H. Kao Building on Thursday evening, March 31, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm and on Friday evening, April 1, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. The Min H. Kao Building is located at 1520 Middle Drive, Knoxville, TN 37996.
